We have asked a few of our current and past clients, who have trained with
the the Fit2Be programme, to tell us about their experiences. Here is what
they had to say:
Pre-Natal Client:
Justeine Alderwick
'I trained with Fit2Be right the way through my pregnancy and found it to be
a really positive experience. I managed to keep my weight gain exactly
within the recommended limits and kept my aerobic and muscular fitness
levels up right to the end. I had a complication free delivery and gave
birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl in June. Emily [Head Trainer of
Fit2Be] came to my house two weeks after the birth and helped me to get
going again and I am pleased to say that I am now back to my regular
training routine'.
Post-Natal Clients
Rita Arora
'I started training with Fit2Be after the birth of my twins and as you might
expect I felt huge! I lost a stone within four months thanks to regular,
varied training and excellent advice on nutrition and lifestyle. I now feel
great and my self-esteem is fully restored. If you want to get back in
shape and have fun at the same time I would definitely recommend this
programme.'

'I met Emily [Head Trainer of Fit2Be] after the birth of my second child. I
was very eager to get back to a reasonable level of fitness, but also
worried about any possible injury since the recovery from my second
Caesarean section had been difficult. In record time, the Fit2Be Programme
helped me not only to regain my previous strength but also to obtain a
completely flat stomach (which I had previously thought was 'mission
impossible'!). My initial objectives have been far exceeded and after only a
few months I felt stronger and fitter than ever before.
The trainers at Fit2Be are fantastic at combining hard work and fun. They
are professional's who will push you to your limits but always with a lot of
laughter involved. Working out has become a real pleasure. I would
recommend Fit2Be to anyone looking for efficient, safe and enjoyable pre- or
post-natal trainingÂ… and to everyone else as well!'

Fit2Be is exactly what pregnant women and new mothers have been looking for.
Women need to be encouraged ad supported when starting or continuing to
exercise during pregnancy and following childbirth.'
Dr James Clapp
In his book
Exercising Through Your Pregnancy:
'Women who continue to perform weight-bearing exercise throughout pregnancy
and lactation at or above 50% of their pre-pregnancy levels gain less
weight; deposit and retain less fat; feel better; have shorter, less
complicated labours; and recover more rapidly than women who either stop or
don't exercise.'
The following is an excerpt from
'Aerobic Exercise, Maternal Self-esteem, and Physical Discomforts during
Pregnancy'
'[This study] found there to be up to 40% few incidences of lower back
pain and pelvic discomfort in exercising women, compared to those who remain
sedentary during pregnancy.'
