Our C.W.M.P. (Childrens Weight Management Programme) is available as a Home personal training programme. The Trainer will arrange an appointment with the parents and child at a convenient time for both parties. This will be a Free no obligation consultation. Based on this consultation the programme can be based on individual sessions or packages of 6 or 12 sessions.

Our programmes are based on increasing physical activity in a safe and controlled manner, whilst being fun. In addition to this there is an element of education on fitness and how it affects the body and mind. It is highly recommended to arrange for family and individual nutritional consultations to encourage the family and the child to adopt healthy eating patterns and meals.

At all times the parent/s are updated on all sessions performed by Fit2Be, no sessions are booked with out prior consent of the parent/s. All sessions are conducted at the home or if in agreement, the cardiovascular sessions can be done in the local park or other such suitable area.

An initial consultation with the child and parent/s is paramount in establishing a positive relationship for the physical fitness programme to be successful. The consultation is for an hour and a series of specific questions will be asked to determine current lifestyle patterns, previous & present exercise history, and the possible implementation of an exercise programme.

Subject to the consultation a programme will be proposed for the child. This programme will be based on the information gathered from the consultation and the initial training session. There afterwards the Trainer will meet with the child and conduct the physical activity session, the session to last 60 minutes. Part of this session will be spent analysing the activity as well as setting weekly goals for the child. As already stated, education is important in establishing an active lifestyle and it is essential for the child to take ownership of their exercise programme.

As part of the programme the Trainer will research activity programmes for the child to attend by themselves or with the parent/trainer. These could include skating, rollerblading, mountain biking clubs and also the possibility of the child attending one of the commercial fitness clubs that offer childrens membership options.
